Aussie YA Bloggers - Secret Santa Blog Hop
As part of the Australian YA Bloggers & Readers Secret Santa Blog Hop, we want to know whether you've been a good or naughty blogger this year.
This blog hop is for the participants of the Aussie YA Bloggers Secret Santa list to help you find out more about your fellow santas and santees and hopefully find out who your santa is!
Questions: Have you been a good or naughty blogger this year?
1. How are you going with your Goodreads challenge?
This year is the first year I've read over 100 books, so my new goal is 125 and I'm currently on schedule. But I still have 11 books to read in less than a month so I better get reading!
2. How many times did you post per week on average? Do you think you’ll post more/less in the future?
Um yeah, well this is where I fail a little bit…or a lot. At the start of the year I was posting several times a week, but for the past few months life has been kicking my butt and there was even a few weeks I posted nothing.
3. What is your Netgalley ratio?
I worked super hard to get my ratio up this year, and not to brag or anything, but it's currently at 94%
4. Have you been commenting on other blogs?
I seem to go through phases of commenting heaps and then going MIA for a week. But in my defence I always comment back on someone's blog if they comment on mine.
5. Did you read mostly review books or non-review books this year?
Probably more review books, but I only ever request books that I really want to read anyway.
6. What are your blogging goals for 2015?
- I hope to post and comment more regularly
- Decide on one calendar/list/organising system, because the current combo of post-it notes, iCal and my diary are a seriously confusing mess!
- Update my blog/graphic design websites more often

7. What is your favourite blogging moment/achievement of 2014?
Firstly meeting Jess Shirvington at the Harper Collins YA Party! It was so incredibly exciting to meet Jess, my all time favourite author and grab an early copy of Corruption (which was brilliant)! Secondly, attending the Sydney Author Event in November! It was also amazing to meet so many incredible authors in one day!
8. Based on your answers above, do you think you’ve been a good or naughty blogger this year?
Hmmm I think a little bit of both, but since my intentions were good that must count for something right?!!
Leave 3 clues to help your santee guess who you are!
1. Fairy books are a big no no for you
2. You also co-blog on another blog
3. Your name suggests you can be haughty and little bit geeky, but we all know you're awesome

Well done on your Netgalley ratio! That's impressive! I can't imagine what it must be like to meet your favourite author though, what a wonderful experience!

DeleteWow, that is an impressive NG ratio, I'm totally jealous Amy...mine's at 37% lol...
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't even see myself reading that many books a year, so I'm so impressed that you have AND managed to up your challenge as well. You've definitely been a wonderful blogger this year :D
I can't believe I've read that many books either, it's crazy!! :D
DeleteThat's great work on your netgalley, I feel terrible for having such a low score! You guys in Sydney always have the best booky events, very jealous! Have a lovely christmas :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes Sydney is lucky to get so many great events lately, I'm just grateful to live close enough that I can travel in for them sometimes :)
DeleteYour NG ratio is amazing, AND you finished your original reading challenge! That's awesome :D Congrats!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shaheen :) I got on a bit of a roll there and kind of surprised myself!!
DeleteWOOOW that is wonderful that you met Jessica Shirvington, especially seeing as she's your favourite author! Your NG ratio is freaking amazing, you should definitely be proud of it! Thanks for joining in the secret santa Amy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for organizing it all Jeann! Meeting Jess Shirvington was pretty amazing! It will be difficult to top in bookish events next year ;)
DeleteI love Jessica Shirvington and wish I could have meet her but I was unable to go to the Harper Collins event. It sounds like you've been a good blogger. I think you win the award for best NG ratio! That is awesome. And wow, you've read a lot of books too, so many bloggers have gone over 100 this year. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI've always seen people reading over 100 books and think "how do they do it??" and I have no idea how I did, it just happened haha. Such a pity you couldn't make it to the Harper Collins party, hopefully you'll get to meet Jess soon, she was just so lovely :)
DeleteI can totally guess who yours is :D :D
ReplyDeleteOnly 11 books to go? You'll knock that over in no time. And 94%? Wow! I think you've officially got the highest ratio. Well done, that's incredible!
