Q: If you could only have ONE – one book – for the rest of your life. Don’t cheat…what would it be?

This is a cruel and unfair question and I don't like it!!! *pouty face*

But if I absolutely MUST choose it would probably be Embrace by Jessica Shirvington, because this book is A-MA-ZING and has everything I could ask for in a book; paranormal/fantasy, humour, drama, romance and plenty of angst!

Q: Share something you’ve learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

I've leant that sometimes, you just have to say 'no'. I hate turning down author's requests for review and blog tours, but I have been suffering a little bit of blogger fatigue lately. I've been reading a lot a review books at the expense of books that I've bought and been desperate to read, which just doesn't make sense!

So over the next couple of weeks I will be trying to cut back on blog tours etc and catch up on my TBR books…so if you see me hanging around Netgalley or Amazon, please hit me over the head with a book (gently & preferably with a paperback)

Q: Back to School time! Create a reading list for the imaginary English Lit class you'll be teaching this semester.

Well I would want to try and choose books that teenagers are going to enjoy reading and learn something from them:

Looking For Alibrandi by Melina Marchetta- her books always have such strong messages about growing up.

Harry Potter By J.K. Rowling - it's one of the reasons I found my love of reading, and I'm not alone. So I think these books can inspire many kids to love reading too!

Emma by Jane Austen - Although Persuasion is my favourite of Austen's novels, I think Emma had some good messages in it. I remember one of our school's assignments was to compare it to the movie Clueless which in was loosely based on.

The Diary Of Anne Frank by Anne Frank - This one really effected me when I read it in school.

Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden - A great entertaining book that makes you question what you would do in the same situation these kids are in

That's all I can think of for now, although when I see everyone else's lists I'll probably realise how many I missed :)

Q: How do you handle a book you don’t like? Do you DNF or do you power through?

I really hate not finishing a book, I usually keep going or at least skim if it's really bad.

But lately I've had so many books to read that I've had to DNF a couple of bad ones. I feel bad, but there are just too many great books out there to waste my time reading something I'm not enjoying.

Q: What do you do with your books after you are done reading them?

For the books that I enjoy or are part of a series I'm still reading I keep them in my ever growing bookshelves. I'm a bit a book hoarder and hate getting rid of any books.

If I didn't enjoy the book I will either offer it to my friends or give it to our local Lifeline Book Fair. I love that they go to a good course and also that someone who will actually enjoy the book will have it.

Q:Book Vacay: Where is the best destination reading spot for you? (Where do you like to go to read other then your home)

Well there is one place I do love the go to. There is this rainforest near where I live that is quite & beautiful and it's a great place to read! Reading in the dappled light with the sound of the water bubbling over the rocks, the buzz of cicadas and the occasional whip of a lyrebird, it's the most peaceful place in the world!

So tranquil isn't it?
Although since it's Winter is Australia right now I'll be sticking to the couch with a hot chocolate :)

I'm so excited to have been chosen as one of the features this week!!! A huge thank you to Rachel & Alison :D

Interview Questions:
When did you start blogging?
I only started blogging in April this year, so I'm still a bit of a newbie :) But so far I'm loving it!

What is your favorite part of book blogging?
Most of my friends don't read & don't get why I love books so much, so I had nobody to gush about my latest reads to. By blogging I get to talk to so many great people & authors who share that crazy passion!

What type of books do you mainly blog about?
Mostly YA & NA fantasy, paranormal & of course romance! I've been on a bit of a NA romance binge lately :)

What is your favorite book(s)?
I can't choice just one soo...
The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling, Anne Of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery, Persuasion By Jane Austen, Obsidian by Jennifer Armentrout & Embrace by Jessica Shirvington!

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?
Well my favourite author Jessica Shirvington loved a review I wrote for one of her books, I then got an arc copy of her new book to review. I absolutely love this woman & the fact that she read my review felt kinda awesome *grins*

Question:
Q: Today is the US' Independence Day. Share your favourite book with a war in it, or an overthrow of the government?

How could I not choose Harry Potter! This is the ultimate epic war between good & evil! Not only is this my favourite war book, it's also my favourite series and always will be!

I also enjoyed these war related books:

Queen in Exile by Donna Hatch (March 23rd 2010)
After Janaiah's family are executed & the royal family overthrown she & a lone knight sent to protect her take back control of her kingdom.
I really enjoyed the fantasy element to this one too, plus a really sweet romance!

Tomorrow When the War Began by John Marsden (1993)
When Australia is invading & taken over by an enemy, it is up to a group of teenagers to save the country from destruction.
This book was really popular is Australia & was made into a movie a couple of years ago

Question:
Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks or paperback?

Well I'm gonna start by saying that although I was totally against eBooks at first, I now love them! Yes they are convenient, you can carry thousands of books with you everywhere, you can buy them instantly while sitting at home in your fluffy bunny slippers & they are often very cheap!

But what I love the most about eBooks is that so many great indie authors have been able to put their books out there for people like us to read :D

But…no matter how great eBooks are I will always love my printed books, especially hardcovers. I usually get my favourite books or series in hardcover.

What's so great about printed books you ask?

Well I love the feel of them my hands…the velvety dust jacket with the metallic embossed lettering…the crinkle of the paper as you turn the page and the smell…oh how I love the smell of a good book. Yes that's right, my secret is out - I sniff books!

Okay I got a little carried away there - I'll stop now ;)

Question:
Q: Q: Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?

Sadly yes I have broken up with a couple of series:

Fallen by Lauren Kate
I just found this one to be so boring, nothing really happened and I just couldn't be bothered to continue. I keep saying maybe one day I'll check the next book out, but I know I won't.

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto
This book was so frustrating, all I wanted to do was slap Beth for being so stupid (and I NEVER want to slap heroines!)

Wow, that's a tough question. I've only been blogging for a couple of months, and haven't really gotten to know anyone that well yet! I hope that this blog hop will help me meet other book lovers out there and make some new friends. Wow #150, I'm only up to #4!!

Well, at the moment I can't really think of anything I would like to change. So I guess I could suggest a question, although since I've only done #4 of these, chances are my questions has already been asked….

If you could be any character from any novel, who would it be?

Is there a book that your ashamed to admit loving (or maybe even an entire genre)?

Question:
School is out! What is your favourite Summer Reading book?

This is a funny question since I'm no longer at school and I live in Australia, so it's actually Autumn and getting kinda cold.

But I do have a couple of books that I love to read over Summer. For some reason Summer usually puts me in the mood for Chick Lit!? Julie Cohen is one of my favourite authors - her books a light hearted, romantic and always make me laugh out loud! Two of my favourites are:

Title: Girl From Mars
Author: Julie Cohen
Published: December 11th 2008
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Blurb:
"I, Philomena Desdemona Brown, do solemnly swear to forsake all romantic relationships . . ." It's not like the vow, made by Fil and her three nerdy male best friends, seemed much of a big deal at the time. Frankly, Fil wouldn't know romance if it hit her in the face, and with her real love being her artist job at Girl from Mars, the comic whose heroine has never had a love interest, she doesn't exactly mind being relationship-free anyway. Until her world is rocked to its core when one of her long-standing quartet and Girl from Mars herself both unexpectedly fall in love. Is it time to give in to temptation and finally fall in love?

Title: Getting Away With It
Author: Julie Cohen
Published: 28th October 2010
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Blurb:
A gorgeously romantic, funny and heartbreaking read for anyone who’s ever run away from home - and found their way back...Liza Haven couldn’t wait to escape the small village where she grew up with her perfect identical twin sister, Lee. Her life in LA as a stunt woman is reckless, fast and free - and that’s just the way she likes it. Happy Mother's Day! Who id your favourite mum from fiction?

This is interesting because I mostly read YA/NA books which usually consist of neglectful mothers :(

Of course Mrs Weasley is probably one of the most loveable literary mother's.

There is also Marmee from Little Women by Louisa M. Alcott

And I have to give honourable mention to Miss Honey from Matilda by Roald Dahl!
